Caroline Beery
Caroline Beery is co-founder of Coghill & Beery International whose aim is to help individuals, teams and organizations build capacity for success in their global operations. For the past 18 years, Caroline has lead the Coghill & Beery team while training and consulting with hundreds of individuals in internationally challenging assignments. With Myers Briggs training, a background in 360-degree survey-feedback, and extensive cross-cultural experience, she brings a deep understanding of the role of personality and the impact of culture in interpersonal, team and organisational dynamics. Though consulting and training are her main focus, she continues to teach an undergraduate International Management course and presents at international conferences.
Caroline is a co-creator of ArgonautOnline, a comprehensive online cultural assessment and learning system offering in-depth information about 60 cultures, simulations and e-learning tutorials.
Caroline holds a degree in History from Smith College in Massachusetts where she has served on the Board of the Alumnae Association and on the Medal Committee for the Board of Trustees. She is a certified Myers-Briggs trained consultant and coach, and she has completed studies in intercultural management at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication in Portland, Oregon. She has currently completed an advanced coaching certification with Advantara, a specialist institute for global executive coach training. She is a member of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR) Europa and actively involved in the UK chapter.
An American by birth, Caroline lived and worked in Tokyo before moving to London with her husband and two daughters.

Maria Jicheva
Maria Jicheva is an intercultural communication and management specialist with a background in business, languages and learning.
Maria has lived and worked in various cultures through diplomatic postings and business assignments. She has conducted in-depth research of the cultures in Central and Western Europe and has extensive experience in coaching individuals and teams with cross-cultural communication, motivation and conflict resolution issues. Motorola, KPMG, PWC, Rieter Automotive Management AG, Russian Nuclear Research Institute, GlaxoSmithKline, Powergen, Unilever, Lovells, LG&E, McKinsey, WPP , Ingersoll Rand and Tesco are among her clients. She continues teaching university courses in intercultural management for IES, a consortium of American Universities in London.
Maria was born in Bulgaria and received her MA and BA degrees from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and her MBA from The American International University in London. She earned her Diploma in Inter-Cultural Management at the University of Cambridge. and she is one of the creators of Argonaut Online, an intercultural online learning system.
Maria was president of SIETAR Europa (Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research in Europe) from 2004 till July 2007. She has presented at various intercultural and HR conferences in the USA, Norway, Germany, China, Bulgaria, France, UK and Spain. Additionally she has published several articles on intercultural communication and cross-cultural adaptation.
In addition to English, she is also fluent in Finnish and Russian and is conversant in French.

Kate Berardo
Kate Berardo is an intercultural facilitator specializing in cross-cultural awareness, relocation, teambuilding and intercultural competency building. She works with both business and not-for-profit sectors ranging from banking and agriculture to immigrant-focused charity groups to enable organizations to build and leverage the cultural diversity of their workforce. Kate has experience training and presenting in ten countries with more than thirty different nationalities.
With George Simons and Simma Lieberman, Kate authored Putting Diversity to Work, a training guide for managers to leverage diversity in the workplace. She has also contributed to the development of training tools including the Diversophy® training games, ArgonautOnline™ e-learning tool, and the Cultural Detective™ training series. Kate is an active member of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research—an interdisciplinary association of individuals doing work across cultures. Her strategies for working across cultures have been featured in media worldwide, most recently on CNN's Business Traveller and the Dubai daily Gulf News.
Kate is a summa cum laude graduate of Northwestern University with a Masters in Intercultural Communication from the University of Bedforshire, UK. Having lived in Japan, Spain, England and France, Kate is now based in California. Isabelle Demangeat
Isabelle Demangeat is a French intercultural consultant with extensive experience in cross-cultural processes and development. After several years working in-house in firms in Switzerland and Germany, she started her own consultancy working as a French trainer in Germany on topics including communication, conflict resolution and assertiveness skills. Since 1993, she has deepened and broadened her interests with her focus on development processes within teams and organisations.
Isabelle's areas of specialisation are transnational teambuilding and organisation development and the internationalisation of HR programs. She also coaches corporate leaders and top executives.
Isabelle serves multi-national clients in France, Germany and in India.
Isabelle‘s family roots are Italian, though she grew up in France and spent the majority of her education and professional life in Germany. Nigel Ewington
Nigel Ewington specialises in helping organisations and their people optimise the success factors when working across cultures. Nigel has lived and worked abroad in such diverse cultures as China, Bulgaria, Finland and Congo. In the last 10 years he has led executive education and consulting projects with over 75 organisations both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. These solutions have included change programmes in major Multi-National Corporations, facilitation for international teams and coaching for Senior Managers. He has recently led a consulting project (involving research, tool development and facilitator training) for a consortium of six of the world's largest charities on the issue of building a culture of trust in diverse Emergency Response Teams. He has also been involved in managing the cultural integration aspects of a leadership programme for all Senior Managers of BoCom (Bank of Communication) in China following the purchase of a shareholding by HSBC.
Nigel is co-founder of TCO, his training and consulting company, and co-founder and Course Director for Cambridge University's Diploma in Inter-Cultural Management. He is a regular visiting professor at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai providing an elective on Cross-Cultural Management for the MBA programme. Here his key interest is linking theory to practice, and grounding the study of intercultural issues in concrete business reality.
He is also co-designer of an International Competency Set and online psychometric questionnaire The International Profiler which are together used by organisations such as General Motors, Continental, FIAT Iveco and BP as their main tool for coaching managers involved in international mobility.

Alexander Scheitza
Alexander Scheitza is a graduate psychologist specialising in intercultural communication and international cooperation. His research on intercultural competence and dealing with cultural disparity gives him unique insight into ways individuals and teams can work effectively across cultures.
Before setting up his own consultancy, Alex was a permanent staff member with Krewer Consult, a German-based internationally active organisational development and intercultural cooperation consulting firm. He was a member of the Intercultural Training and Organisational Development (IFOE) unit at Saarland University from 1997 to 2001. Alex continues his association with the university as a lecturer and tutor for an Intercultural Communication degree course at Saarland University and for Intercultural Cooperation module within the European Administrative Management MA course at the University of Applied Administration and Legal Administration in Berlin.
Alex received his tertiary degree from Saarbrücken (Germany) and Aberdeen/Scotland, where he conducted a 6-month research project in Zimbabwe. Since this project in1994, he has continued his commitment to consulting, training and coaching for intercultural cooperation. Harry Sloofman
Harry Sloofman is a NY based Organization Development Consultant. He brings the ability to develop and organize people, processes, and systems that build business capacity and effect organizational change. David Trickey
David Trickey is a seasoned trainer and consultant in the area of intercultural management. A founding partner of TCO International Diversity Management, He has lived in Italy for over 10 years, working as the project leader for intercultural training and consultancy in Benetton, Generali, ENI Group, Fiat, Zanussi-Electrolux, Le Poste Italiane and Finmeccanica. He has over 15 years of experience in helping professionals to manage cultural diversity.
He has also been responsible for intercultural management seminars in Italian business schools (SADA, MIB, Profingest, Stoà) lecturing and facilitating in Italian as well as his native English. Outside Italy he has held seminars in international communication skills for McKinsey and Co. Maria Zlateva
Maria Zlateva is an intercultural consultant with background in academic research and higher education.
Maria has lived and worked in diverse settings on three continents: Africa, Europe, and America.
She has extensive experience in intercultural consulting, international education, administration and teaching. She has done research on joint projects with major universities in the EU and is adept at working in multicultural academic and professional teams.
Since she settled in the USA in 1991, Maria has designed, piloted, and coordinated various courses for students and affiliates at Harvard University, where she continues to be on the Summer School faculty. She has conducted training for instructors and staff at Harvard, Boston, and Suffolk Universities, often using the HBS case-study method. As Director of ESL at Boston University, Maria currently oversees the language instruction and academic acculturation of international students and advises the BU management on issues of international program development. She is active in international professional organizations such as NAFSA and TESOL and also serves as a linguistic consultant for the McGraw-Hill Companies.

Chris Robinson
Chris' early career was spent as a brand marketer, then as a Clinical Psychologist. For the past 20 years, however, he has worked in the corporate arena in South Africa, UK and Europe, the USA and Asia in a variety of senior global Human Resource roles.
Chris has extensive experience as a Human Resources Director, much of it gained in senior and Board roles in Unilever and WPP companies. He is passionate about the twin areas of organisation and talent development and has wide experience and expertise in dealing with complexity, ambiguity and diversity across individual, organisational and cross-cultural dimensions.
He balances a thorough commercial and business awareness with his deep understanding of people, and has significant experience and expertise in developing and aligning global and local HR strategies with the needs of businesses; leadership and management development; employee engagement; industrial relations and Union negotiations; organisation design; creation of competency and behavioural frameworks; facilitation of organisation and culture change; mentoring and coaching of senior executives; working with CEO's and their Boards to create more effective and successful outcomes; succession planning; and organisation development including the design and delivery of senior leadership programs.

Jeff Cone
Jeff Cone is the Founder and Principal of The Hubb Group, running the executive development and business coaching practice focused on empowering executives to successfully interact and conduct business in a dynamic global environment.

Laura A. Mancini Chan
Laura A. Mancini Chan is originally from the USA and comes from a family with an Italian background. Her experiences studying and working in the USA, China, Germany, the UK and Thailand have given her a deep understanding of the issues that expatriates face when relocating and the challenges of working together in multicultural teams.
Since 1997, Laura has worked for firms in the international human resources, relocation services and intercultural training fields. Rolando Stein
Rolando Stein is a specialist in Latin American countries, focusing on Brazil and Chile. A native of Chile, he has lived and worked in 12 countries. He brings this first-hand international living and work experience to the cultural trainings he provides for business people on international assignment in South America.
With a professional background in international sales and marketing, Rolando has experienced the impact of culture on developing customer relations in a variety of countries. As an international events organiser, he has managed cross-cultural teams in sponsorship events, conventions and trade shows. David Kolb
A skilled leader who has served in both the public and the private sectors, David is the founding director of Incite Learning. He brings to the firm many years of hands-on experience helping individuals and groups implement solutions to learning design and leadership development challenges. He is especially adept at turning theoretical concepts into concrete applications that enhance personal effectiveness—but he also knows how to have fun. David has a profound ability to connect with people and help others confront challenges head-on. His approach to learning and personal change is to "meet people where they are so they can better understand where they need to go."
Prior to Incite Learning, David was a founding director with the The Exetor Group and served as a principal and senior consultant with the Institute for Organizational Learning and Lore International Institute. He has spent more than 20 years in facilitation, education, and consulting for a range of industries and organizations such as: McKinsey & Company, Ingersoll-Rand, Nike, SBC Communications R.R. Sreemathi Ramnath
Sreemathi Ramnath is a consultant with Coghill & Beery, is a native of Chennai, India. She has over 20 years experience in the field of education and training.
She is a founder of Immer Besser, a cross-cultural consultancy service based in India. She partners with Coghill & Beery on India projects and ArgonautOnline, a cultural resource and assessment tool.
A graduate of the University of Madras, Sreemathi is a trained German Language Teacher by the Goethe Institute, with special focus on adult learning techniques, training didactics and intercultural communication. For the Goethe-Institute she co-authored a book on curriculum & teaching techniques for "Adults Learning German as Foreign language" which was prescribed as a broad guideline for senior level courses in all Goethe Institutes in the countries of South Asia.
She is member of the professional body of inter-culturalists, SIETAR Europa, and contributing Editor of the International Management Journal published by ICFAI Business School, Chennai

Elaine Teo Mosimann
Elaine delivers client-tailored leadership development and intercultural interventions, including individual coaching, group training and consultancy, for some of the most prestigious public and private organisations in the world - including Oxford University's Saïd Business School, Cambridge University, the École Hôtelière Lausanne, Tesco, McKinsey and Philip Morris.
Clients come to her for her passion and expertise in the management and leverage of cross-cultural issues arising from differences in geographical, corporate, or gender culture. A speciality of hers is bridging the East-West gap, especially for companies seeking to grow and develop their business in Southeast Asia, China, India and other parts of Asia.
Elaine is an experienced practitioner of the Argonaut intercultural assessment, using its powerful suite of intercultural tools and extensive resources on over 60 countries to craft needs-specific coaching, consulting and group facilitating solutions for her international clients.
Elaine is one of only two UK-based members of the Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (APAC), the preeminent coaching industry body in the Asia-Pacific region. Elaine is an associate of Coghill & Beery International and the Forton Group. She served on the Executive Committee of the International Coach Federation Singapore Chapter. She was the founding Vice-President of the Oxford University Chinese Cultural Society. She is fluent in English and spoken Mandarin and is conversant in German, Italian and basic French.

James Beery
James Beery is Senior of Counsel of Covington & Burling LLP, an international law firm with offices in Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, London and Brussels. Before joining Covington & Burling, James was Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of GlaxoSmithKline. He currently serves on several biotech boards as a non-executive director.
He completed his undergraduate work at Harvard College, and received his JD degree at Stanford Law School. James served as a Captain in the US Marines Corps and was personally decorated for service as an artillery air observer and battery executive officer in Vietnam.

Carey Coghill, PhD
Carey Coghill, PhD is a co-founder of Coghill & Beery International in 1992. As a lead consultant and trainer, Carey was the driving force behind the initial research, design and development of the company's intercultural consulting and training programmes. She has recently held the post of Assistant Professor of the Msc Degree Program in Human Resources, Western Carolina University where she taught on-site and on-line courses in international management, performance assessment, coaching and mentoring, research methods and global leadership. Prior to founding Coghill & Beery, she consulted in the US and the UK for Kaset International. Carey has also managed Performance and Total Quality as the Human Resource Development Specialist for Georgia (state) Division of Rehabilitation Services.
Carey is a long-time member of The Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) and the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Her publications include: Cross-Cultural Transition: A Case Study of Cultural Conflict Incidents and numerous articles.
Carey holds a Ph.D in Human Resource Development with a major in Management, an MS in Professional Counseling, and a BA in Psychology. Carey lived and worked in London and Brussels before returning to Atlanta, where she has returned to management and training in the Georgia State Rehabilitation Services. She continues to advise Coghill & Beery on strategy.

Richard Farkas
Richard Farkas is a designer of e-learning content and consults on e-learning solutions in which trainers have a central role. He is Managing Director of Power-of-Learning, which provides consulting and e-learning content creation services to training providers, government agencies and large corporations.
Richard has worked on five separate e-learning solutions for intercultural trainers since 1998, the latest of which, ArgonautOnline, is a partnership with Coghill & Beery. Richard's career began in the HR department of Unilever. Then, having graduated as MSc (Industrial Relations and Personnel Management) from the London School of Economics, Richard worked in HR for a further four years at Manchester University and Manchester Business School. Since his short sideways step into e-learning in 1998, Richard has worked closely—though often remotely—with intercultural trainers on countless training projects for clients such as ABB, Microsoft, Nokia, Nestlé, P&O, GSK, Wartsila, and more. Richard is British and lives in Finland where he enjoys the dry climate and the dry humour.

Andrey Jichev
Andrey Jichev is a consultant to Coghill & Beery, advising them on strategy, marketing and branding. Andrey worked for 20 years in the Bulgarian diplomatic service including postings in Finland and the UK. He was one of the first four diplomats to be appointed to the EU Department at the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry in 1993 and was a member of the team that prepared Bulgaria's accession negotiations several years later.
Since 2002 Andrey has been a Senior Lecturer at the International Institute of Educational Studies in London, teaching European business and international marketing courses, and at the Central University of Iowa's London Programme, where he teaches Advertising from a Cross-Cultural Perspective.
Andrey was educated in the Russian Federation and in the UK. He has an MA and Ph.D from the Moscow University of International Relations (MGIMO); a postgraduate diploma in EC Law from King's College, London, and an MBA from Richmond, the American International University in London.
He has published several research papers on contemporary issues of international relations and European integration, has presented at various European Forums on the EU Enlargement, and is currently working on a book: The Challenges of Post-Accession: Lessons Learned from the Eastern Enlargement of the EU.
Since February 2003, Andrey has been an Advisor at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, London.
