Alexander Scheitza
 
 
 
   

Alexander Scheitza is a graduate psychologist specialising in intercultural communication and international cooperation. Alex has been a freelance consultant, trainer and coach since August 2002, partnering with Coghill & Beery since 2004. Before setting up his own consultancy, Alex was a permanent staff member with Krewer Consult, a German-based internationally active organisational development and intercultural cooperation consulting firm. He was a member of the Intercultural Training and Organisational Development (IFOE) unit at Saarland University from 1997 to 2001. Alex continues his association with the university as a lecturer and tutor for an Intercultural Communication degree course at Saarland University and for Intercultural Cooperation module within the European Administrative Management MA course at the University of Applied Administration and Legal Administration in Berlin.

Alex received his tertiary degree from Saarbrücken (Germany) and Aberdeen/Scotland, where he conducted a 6-month research project in Zimbabwe. Since this project in1994, he has continued his commitment to consulting, training and coaching for intercultural cooperation. Some of his projects include: Research into intercultural competence and dealing with cultural disparity; Projects involving managing international cooperation and intercultural youth work; Design and implementation of train-the-trainer and train-the-coach programmes; Development of international staff selection tools; and Evaluation of training programmes

Alex is currently President of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research in Europe (SIETER Europa) and he lectures and presents at various conferences and congresses in Germany and abroad.
