ArgonautOnline Assessment
ArgonautOnline is an e-learning tool which enables individuals and groups to improve their understanding of each other’s cultures and to get better results from their interactions. The origins of Argonaut lie in the research conducted by Dr Carey Coghill in the early 1990′s for her doctoral dissertation entitled Cross-Cultural Transition: A Case Study of Cultural Conflict Incidents. The Argonaut assessments allow you to enter your perceptions about yourself, your home, and other cultures and to use those perceptions in a variety of useful and enlightening ways. Based on the comparisons you choose, the assessment tool offers advice on operating effectively within that diversity. The assessment does not exist to measure your competence or test your knowledge. When part of a wider training program, the assessment generates data for your tutor so that you can quickly focus on areas which deserve greatest attention.
ArgonautOnline supports the process of moving from understanding one’s own perception of success (personal and cultural), to simultaneously understanding other cultures’ values and formulas for success.
This ability to perceive, understand and act according to multiple perspectives of ‘success’ is intercultural competence. A person capable of multiple perspectives acknowledges ‘my way’ and ‘your way’ and is able to create solutions that build on both.

Argonaut is not a structured course; learners are free to choose the most suitable methods for themselves. Many key screens are printable for use as personal reminders or for use in coaching, training, and feedback sessions.
