MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®) Assessment

The MBTI® assessment is a personality inventory that helps you understand people by looking at eight personality preferences that everyone uses at different times. The MBTI assessment was developed by a mother-daughter team (Isabel Briggs Myers and Katherine Myers) and is based on the theories of Carl Jung. There are eight personality preferences which are organized into four opposite pairs. When you take the MBTI assessment, the four preferences (one from each pair you identify as being most like you) are combined into what is called a TYPE.

MBTI® test results are instrumental in organizations because they help to:

  • Clarify team behavior
  • Supply a framework in which teams can better understand and handle conflict
  • Help individuals understand how different perspectives and methods lead to effective problem solving
  • Build an objective framework for team interactions
  • Identify individual and team areas of strength and weakness.
